Livin' Easy - Music Video
Music Video (Livin' Easy by Cody Simpson)

This was filmed at a seaside location which me and 2 other people travelled to. We were tasked with filming a music video and in the end, the group had to decide on which song to pick. The song we decided on was Livin' Easy by Cody Simpson which I had researched and suggested. It belongs to a folk/indie genre. After searching for other similar music videos, there was a recurring theme which involved the pastel colours and having fun. I then thought to the places that I have felt most happy and that was by the sea.
I directed, filmed and edited the attempt to invoke the idea of carefree summers that you remember, often through rose tinted spectacles, of your youth. This idea was reflected in the choice of colour palette for the video, i.e it was in pastels which are symbolic of hazy memories.
The challenges we faced were getting there with equipment and making sure it didn't get wet. As it was one of the first big filming tasks we were set to do, some of the scenes could have been shot better and therefore, we used free drone footage to help.
