The Faulty Teleportation - Adobe After Effects

This video is a short narrative where the storyline involves the first character trying to teleport to where the other character is waiting, and having to give her something. But, the portal jumping doesn't work. This meant filming multiple plate shots and editing multiple teleporting scenes. The narrative is simple but helps me to enhance with my editing techniques. I used smoke, shockwave and bulge effects to bring the piece to life and left the colour of the shockwave white to keep it clean and simple. During filming it was a challenge as each teleport shot had to have long plate shots and the actor had to stay very still for it to be easier to be masked out in After Effects.
