The Wonderland Effect

BTEC Creative Media Production Level 3 Year 2

This was a task that involved following a narrative while using Green Screen and Masking.  My group decided on following the Alice in Wonderland theme. We used clips from not only the original film but the Tim Burton remakes to try and help us to make a version of the actor being shrunk down.
The challenges that we faced involved positioning not only the camera and the lights but the actor themselves. The camera had to be at the same angle that we shot the plate shots in to make the narrative work. The editing was also a challenge as when she shrinks, she had to be masked with the pen tool (On Adobe After Effects) every time her body moved out of the mask.
